Brand new daddy, Keith Urban, 40, is not complaining about diaper duty at all. Actually, the country singing star says while his wife, actress Nicole Kidman, is at work filming movies, he enjoys his role of being a full-time dad to the couple’s 8-week-old daughter. Keith shares, “When my wife’s working and I’ve got time off, I’m just Mr. Mom during the day, taking care of the little girl.” He also calls fatherhood, “beautiful.”

The family spent some time in Australia while Nicole, 41, worked on the Baz Luhrmann film Australia in which Nicole plays the role of Lady Sarah Ashley. Australia is to be released in November. At the present time, Nicole & Sunday are staying in London. Nicole is busy rehearsing for the movie musical Nine, which is scheduled to begin shooting next month and will be released in December. At the same time, Keith is balancing family time with his hectic touring schedule here in the states. The chaos and being away from family will be short-lived, though, according to Keith. He says in 2009 Nicole and Sunday will be going on tour, too. “That’s what we’ll do next year. Just balancing touring with being home, it’s good to have them out on the road … so we’re not apart very much.”

Baby Sunday Rose was born on July 7th in Nashville, Tennessee and weighed 6 lbs, 7.5 oz. She is Keith and Nicole’s first child together. Nicole has two adopted children, Isabella (15) and Connor (13) with ex husband Tom Cruise.
